Create groups and permissions and get ready-made /lp commands

Groups are added to the track in order of weight (low to high) so promote/demote works.

Get startedGuide
LuckPerms is the permissions plugin for Minecraft servers; it decides which commands and actions each player may use. The terms are simple: a permission (or node) is one specific right like essentials.home, and a group is a set of permissions you attach to players.
Two more ideas matter. Inheritance means one group also receives every permission of another, for example vip from default. A track is a promotion ladder that orders groups so promote and demote can move a player up and down.
How to create groups and permissions in LuckPerms
Say you want two ranks: a normal player and a VIP with a few extras. Run every command in the server console.
1. Create the group. The default group already exists and every player is in it. For the second rank type lp creategroup vip.
2. Weight. Give it weight with lp group vip setweight 100. When two groups conflict the higher weight wins, so keep default light.
3. Give a permission. lp group vip permission set essentials.fly true grants one right. To deny explicitly, use false instead of true. Look up exact permission names in the plugin's own docs, because LuckPerms can't know what's valid and accepts typos too.
4. Inheritance. lp group vip parent add default makes VIP get everything default has, so you don't repeat those permissions.
5. Chat prefix. lp group vip meta setprefix 100 "&6[VIP] " sets a prefix. The number is its priority, and the value needs quotes if it contains a space. Showing it depends on your chat plugin and Vault.
6. Add a player. lp user Steve parent add vip puts a player in the group. For step-by-step promotions, make a track with lp createtrack staff and lp track staff append vip, then run lp user Steve promote staff.
lp creategroup vip
lp group vip setweight 100
lp group vip permission set essentials.fly true
lp group vip parent add default
lp user Steve parent add vip
Quick guide to the LuckPerms command generator
Instead of doing all this by hand, you can do it much more simply with this tool:
- In "محل اجرای کامند" (where the command runs) pick Bukkit/Paper, BungeeCord or Velocity so the command prefix is right.
- In "گروهها و پرمیشنها" (groups and permissions) click "افزودن گروه" (add group) and fill in group name, weight, prefix, suffix and display name.
- Write parents in "ارث از گروهها" and put one node per line in "پرمیشنها"; a leading "-" means false.
- For step-by-step promotion fill in the track name. In "بازیکنها" (players) write one player and group per line.
- The commands appear below; copy them and run them in order in the server console.
Common LuckPerms mistakes
- Creating default again: it already exists, and creating it fails.
- Equal or messy weights: prefixes and permissions become unpredictable. Give each rank its own weight.
- Circular inheritance: if A inherits from B and B from A, it won't work properly.
